For everything there is a season, for every purpose under heaven...

The time has come for the congregation of the Big Bear United Methodist Church to cease worshipping together. Our last service will be Sunday September 10, 2017. 

We will have a potluck breakfast at 9:00 a.m.  The service will be at 10:00.

Although this congregation will no longer meet together for worship, the work of God continues, as does His need for us to continue in individual relationship with Him. The people known as a part of BBUMC will disperse, but will continue their relationships with Him and do His work in the world.

God's people are meant to work and worship with others. Pastor Nancy is ready to assist you in connecting with another congregation to make this possible.

For 61 years, BBUMC has been entrusted with the care of the church building and its contents, the parsonage, and other assets used in our ministry. In the UMC system, such items are owned by the local conference, so they will return to the Cal-Pac conference. Cal-Pac will be in charge of caring for and managing them.

North Shore Christian Preschool will remain open through the end of the school year.

Membership records will be transferred to another UMC for safe-keeping.  That church will handle any paperwork involved with membership.  Until that is done, contact the church office or Pastor Nancy for any needs you may have.

We are still God's people, wherever we may be. His blessings be you with wherever your path may lead.
