Services and Music

Sunday Service

This is a blended service.  We start with Praise in Song led by Praise 100, and gradually transition into a more traditional format and music.

It typically includes greeting one another, sharing of concerns and joys, prayer, scripture reading, group singing of old and new favorites, and a musical presentation by choir or soloist.  Musical accompanists include a pianist, an organist, guitarist(s)/song leaders - sometimes one, sometimes all three.

The lesson for children (and children at heart), and the lesson for adults are both based on the scripture for the week.  The scripture for the week is found on this web site in the section THE STORY.

A more detailed description of our service is here.

Kyrie Choir

This choir sings at nearly every 10:00 service, and for occasional other events. Summer hiatus is usually the month of July.
An adult choir, they sing a variety of musical styles, typically 4-part harmony with piano accompaniment.
Styles vary from traditional to gospel to contemporary.  To participate, show up at rehearsal and give it a try!
Rehearsals are Thursdays from 5:45 -7:00 at the church.

Psalm 100

This praise band sings mostly contemporary songs. They lead the singing for the first portion of our Sunday service. Rehearsals are before church. Contact the music director (who also is the director of the Kyrie choir) for information.

Outdoor Summer Service

June through Labor Day weekend.
Well-behaved dogs welcome.
This is a casual service in the seating area behind the church building.
This service includes group singing led by a guitarist, and communion.  The communion elements vary, to represent various aspects of faith.
